I loved loved loved working with this family this last weekend! A photographer is on cloud when the family she is shooting is as laid back as this family was. It was pretty obvious to me, and the other side of my camera, that they are loving and so very young at heart!

I was “officially” hired to take one year old photos of little R. I do have plenty mom {wink wink} but I had to share a sneak peek of a few of the family as well. I can’t wait to get back to these shots and share them with you when I’m done.

((Thanks SO much guys. I had a blast capturing a part of your lives))

{newbies}

Ahhh, My first newborn session. Can you feel my smile from your computer desk? How much fun was this!?! I walked away with a curious feeling as to WHY I waited so long to do one! My wonderful photographer friend let me “borrow” her month old angel to break me into newborn sessions. I can’t thank her enough! {grin}

And, best of all… we {meaning my hubby} all made it through my, albeit very brief, lingering “awww” stage I have after I get to play with a newbie.

Thanks D!! This was truly fun for me.

I had a great time with this beautiful girl last weekend. You may remember her as one of my Cutie Patootie winners! I just love how her images turned out I am excited to share a sneak peek with Mommy and Daddy!

Miss C was such a dream to photograph! Many times kids will shy away from my camera at first, probably wondering ‘why in the world is this lady following me around?’… but not this little one! She was ready to go from the second she arrived. Adorably, she pulled me from flower to flower, needing pictures in front of each color she could find in the garden.

My favorite park proved to be a challenge for me for the first time. Usually it’s gorgeous out there. The park is so spread out that you usually don’t run into but a few other park-goers during the entire session. But last Sunday the park was CrAmMeD with people. Barbecuing, music, games every where we turned. On my way home, I made mental note that Sunday evenings out there are not a good choice. Didn’t dawn on us until later that it was Cinco de Mayo weekend! Why is it when some people see a photographer in action they feel the need to come over and watch, standing behind the subjects? Quite a surprise to come home to look at the images from the day and see so many with stranger’s heads peeking over the family’s heads in the background!! Needless to say we have lots of close up shots. I’m still working on trying to remove “extras” from the few family shots I managed. Wish me some luck, heh!

I really enjoy getting to know the families I work with, and sharing in a few hours of ‘family’ time with them. Thanks so much guys for sharing a bit of your world with me!
