{sand, salt and seagulls. oh my!}

Recently, the entire herd of Kendalls, Keas and Urbans (and Just-Aron, heh) barreled south for Sandfest’08 in Port A. A fabulous three days! Gorgeous blue skies scattered with little wispy clouds. Stunningly beautiful kiddos out of control with joy on the beach. What MORE could a photographer ask for??

Well… this photographer could ask for more I suppose… Like removal of baby jellyfish littered about in the sand. The visual of the dead duck washed ashore that is now burned into my brain. A beach blanketed with old crunchy seaweed. Layers of tar two inches below the surface causing all our castle attempts to be marbled (a some-what cool effect). Sigh…. Texas costline hazards. I’ll stop being half empty now… It really was a wonderful weekend!!

And even though I was uber paranoid of all the sea salt and sand getting into my heart…er…livelihood…er…camera, I was compelled to bring it down and capture the weekend.
