I’m editing some new sessions to share. Soon, I promise. But until then, a little practice ~n~ play time for me is always therapeutic! Here are a few of my Lil’J and some trains.

I have probably the worst memory out of any girl in her 30’s that you will ever meet. Because of this tidbit, I have become that mom. The one that continually has her camera aimed at her children! They are pretty well sick of me, but I feel the need to capture it all! Mainly so that when I’m grey and stumbling around trying to find my bifocals… that are sitting on the top of my head, I’ll have my printed memories to fall back on. If I can find them that is. This is where my love of photography comes in! For so many reasons, photographs are precious.
As I ramp up for my already packed Holiday season, I am spending moments here and there to work on my personal photos. Here are a couple favorites from the last few days. It all goes too fast.

{2009 Newborn Special}
Are you expecting a baby, due in 2009? All newborn sessions booked for the remainder of 2008 will receive 50% off their session fee! Please contact me to book your session near your 2009 due date. I am looking forward to meeting new Texas babies!
Many people aren’t familiar with what a modern newborn shoot is like so I wanted to take a moment to give clients a better idea. It is now more popular than ever to do a photoshoot of your newborn when your baby is only a week or so old. My ideal age for a newborn is between 5-14 days of life, before the newborn acne begins. Sleeping newborn photos are the modern way to do a newborn’s shoot and so in order to have sleepy babies, babies should be photographed as young as possible. I ask that anyone looking for a newborn shoot contacts me before your baby is born so we can pick a tentative date about a week after your due date. Although I always try to get some photos of your baby awake, it’s the nude, sleeping photos that capture the essence of the first days of life the most.
