Mollie Kendall Photography bio picture

  • Hi, I'm Mollie.
    Woman. Wife. Mother. Creator. Artist.

I'm a photographer, with a more modern style, working with both natural and studio settings and lighting. I specialize in newborns, children and high school seniors. I also enjoy working with engaged couples and book select weddings each year.

I am unbelievably lucky to get to do what I love for a living! I'm also so blessed to find people who truly value photos of their family and choose me to capture these unique moments in their lives. Not something I take lightly.

I've created my own little spot here on the web to share a bit of everything... from recent sessions, updates & specials, as well as whatever sparks my interest! I would love for you to subscribe to the blog or check back often for updates. So grab a coffee, put up your feet and scroll on down.

Oh and pssst.... I looove blog love {wink wink} so if you see something yummy, feel free to leave me a comment while you're here!

{the one} where we meet Tyler | austin senior photography

I got into the photography {like most children’s photographers} because of my kids.  I drove them up the wall!  I literally carried my camera everywhere and took pictures of everything that they did.  Once I began to hear the whispers of how exactly they planned to destroy my camera, I moved on to other people’s kids. At least they only see me a couple times a year right? So off into the child photography world I went. It’s what I knew and loved.  A year ago, I was pretty sure that I didn’t want to work with newborns.   In chatting with my online photog forum friends, it seemed like much harder work and very difficult to master. But when the first expecting mommy came along and hired me, I was IN love! So that got me to thinking… what else could I potentially love and don’t know it yet? Engagements, Boudoir, Weddings, Seniors… Well I’m currently trying them ALL and here you get to see my first jump into the world of high school seniors.

I. Loved. It.
Loooooved it!

Seriously, the moment I completed editing, I was looking into ways to get more more more! Did anyone know that seniors don’t run the other way to the nearest playscape ~or~ throw goldfish crackers at you? OOOh now, don’t get me wrong.  I will forever love my kidlet clients.  BUT, and I hope you agree, I feel I may have a knack for this;)and plan on stepping up this portion of my portfolio this year.

Now meet Tyler. He was totally up for anything and everything and we had a great time wandering all around downtown Austin. He even kept it on cue when people were cat calling to him from the other side of 6th street! HA!! He was awesome! Thanks Tyler!

Keep your eyes open Class of 2010, for some senior casting calls and contests soon!
