part two | austin wedding photographer

Shots from last week are going to come slowly as I’m pretty busy these days with session closings but I am luuu-huuu-huuving this couple.  I have to squeeze in just a couple more from our wedding shoot during Texas School last week. They were just smokin’!

gotta share | mollie kendall photography

Last week I gladly head up to Texas School a day early to help assist a fellow photographer forum friend who’s work I’ve looong time admired.  Admired might be too soft a word… I may have erked out a school girl squeak noise when asked to assist on a special shoot with Matt Nicolosi. He put out a call for models when he stumbled upon a free weekend {thanks to a volcanically canceled trip overseas} to try a little something fun.  Another forum friend Lauren quickly jumped at the chance to have him photograph her so we met him down in Deep Ellum in Dallas.  I expecting nothing short of amazing and wow did he not let us down. Simply amazing work!! He has posted the images on  his blog, under the title ‘Lauren + Ron’ so go take a looksie.

part one of many | austin wedding photographer

I have wanted to attend Texas School of Photography for a couple years now.  I was so so lucky to have been able to make the week long event this year. The school is loaded with amazing instructors but you just choose one for your entire week.  I love this idea in that you can really get more deeply involved in your learning and make some more personal connections with your instructor and classmates.  I choose to take a wedding class.  I’m not sure what the pull was, but at registration something inside kept telling me to use this time to learn more about them.  A friend and I photographed a wedding last November and simply loooved loved it.  This seemed like my time to really get in there and learn more and I’m glad I made the decision.

I took a lot of great photos during our engagement/bridal/wedding/couple shoots.  I just returned home yesterday and I have a ridiculous amount of client work to catch up on but I couldn’t simply set them aside without editing just a few.  This is just a quick part one of many, I’m sure.
