Recently I did another box session for a family of four. We had so much fun! I mean really, how can you not when you cram four people into a box? It’s hilarious! Lots of giggles and laughter. Thanks Jones family!!
We had too many great images (ie, I overshot because we were having so much fun) so they ended up setting up two collages. I think they both came out great!
Last weekend we let our 9 year old daughter invite over some friends for a karaoke slash dance party. It was Critter’s idea and it just all sounded like work to me, especially considering it wasn’t even the girls birthday. But, when it was all said and done, I’m glad we did it. I was worried because most of the time when you have a group at this age and of this size, several pair off, kids are excluded and someone ends up crying in the corner. But not this day. The girls had a really great time! Many thanks to my brother-in-law… our lighting technician who brought over a disco ball and sound activated lights and to my sister… our balloon support system who brought over more balloons than any human should have in their home at any given time. I, of course, took photos the entire four hours and stressed over how to cull them down to an acceptable blog post amount. The funniest part about it is the *3* requests from these 9 year olds that I “tag them on facebook” whenever I was finished.
…Said in my best old embarrassing parent voice…. “oh how the times they are a’changin”
Several months ago, I held a Diaper Derby contest. Votes were tallied by “likes” on images on my Facebook page. This adorable set of triplets was the winner and we held off on the session until their first birthday for a cake smash! I’ve done quite a few of these sessions now, even one with twins, and they are always a blast…. but with triplets it was 3x the crazy fun!

Recently I had the pleasure of working with a local model, Cherish. Our goal was beautiful photos but we ended up having a silly amount of fun. We threw her in a creek and all giggled watching her try to maintain composure as random things attacked her under the water! Try taking sharp photos while laughing at someone screaming “THOSE ARE NOT MINNOWS!” Good stuff! Thanks for rockin’ it out Cherish. I look forward to working together again…. preferably without the wildlife.
