Everyone who knows me or is familiar with my work knows how much I love photographing newborns! I could cuddle and snuggle them all day. Give me a set of twins and I’m on cloud nine! I met these adorable young men a couple weeks ago. They slumbered straight through our session so well that I didn’t want to leave.
Recently I was contacted by The Austin Humane Society to ask if I would donate time to help them with their annual fundraising calendar. They had a contest for owners and their new the pets who were adopted in the past year. The top 14 winners were assigned a photographer for their pet’s very own photography shoot to appear in the 2013 fundraising calendar. I was assigned Percy the cat and had a great time photographing him out on his beautiful property!

Several months back I had the honor of being published in Professional Photographer Magazine, three pages featuring my Box Sessions! I was so excited about the article and thought nothing could top that compliment of my work. But what’s better than one feature? TWO! I was blown away when they emailed to use another image in their publication. This time, they ran a full page photo along with a short Q&A with me for the head of ‘The Goods’ section. Such an amazing feeling ♥

I’ve been published!
Several months ago I was contacted by Professional Photographer Magazine asking if I would be interested in having some of my work published. After the shock wore off, and I finished my little happy snoopy dance, I of course said YES! If you’re not a photographer, you may not know but Professional Photographer Magazine is a pretty big publication. In fact, this is probably the single largest audience I could ever hope to be in front of! The magazine is the official magazine of the Professional Photographers of America organization, has been in circulation for more than 100 years and is distributed worldwide!
