It’s time for Mollie Kendall Photography’s Fresh Faces 2010 Contest!!!

I’m looking to freshen up my portfolio with some new faces… specifically between the ages of 13 – 17 years!

Why should I enter you ask? The winner will receive…
1) one complimentary, full session with me.
2) $200 gift print credit.
3) 4+ Facebook images.

Don’t have a child in the age range for the contest? I could have a prize for you as well! If you are the referral person to the Fresh Faces 2010 winner, you will receive a $150 gift print credit for a future session for your own child/ren or opt for a $50 Visa gift card!! All submissions received will be narrowed down to a top 5 by a group of my professional out-of-state photographer friends, not by me. If among the finalists, you will be notified and the image posted on my blog. You will then need to get as many (unique) people to vote as possible. The image with the most votes wins.

More winners? Sure, why not!! Every person who enters the contest will be eligible for discounts on their own session AND anyone who comments on the top 5 images will receive a $75 gift print credit if they email to book a session within 24 hours of the end of the contest.

To enter, email me one web-sized picture of your 13-17 year old to . Inside the e-mail, please write “Fresh Faces 2010″ in the subject line and include your name and address (to validate location). If you were referred to the contest by someone else, please list their name so I know who to credit should you win. Also include a quick note that you are giving me permission to use your image for the contest’s blog posts and that you are the photographer and have permission to use the image.

The Fine Print….

• Child must be between the ages of 13 and 17 years of age at the time the photo was taken and submitted to the contest.
• Make sure we can see your child’s face. No professional portraits will be accepted… just your snapshots please!
• Winners of the Fresh Faces 2010 contest are not eligible to also win the referral prize.
• Referral winners cannot be related to the winner.
• Winner must list the referral person in their email submission to qualify for the referral win.
• One photo submission per child, please.
• The judging will take place by a large group of my professional out-of-state photographer friends, not by me.
• All applicants must live within Austin, Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, Pfluggerville, Georgetown, and their outlying areas.
• Enter your child by July 15th, 11:00pm. Finalists will be announced no later than July 30th via email and on my blog.
• The winner must book and complete their winning session by October 1st, 2010.
• The session location will be determined by Mollie, whether it is on location or in studio. Mollie will have complete creative control of the session. You will LOVE your new portraits!!

Winter time   =   We’re Bored!

Ok, ok…  we really don’t have a “winter” here and no, I’m not really bored. Just seems in February I’m left to newborns. While I looove my babies (♥), sometimes a girl needs to play with the grown ups.   And I love my job so much I’m willing to do it for free!  You heard me.  I am waiving the $250 session fee for the first 4 families who book with me.  The Catch?  There isn’t one!!  There is no session fee… AND no minimum order.   I get to do what I love, which is photograph people.

Here’s the skinny…

Email me within the next 4 days to be eligible for the free session. I will only take the first four received, so move quickly.  You have until February 4th to contact me and get on my schedule.  After that, the promotion ends and you won’t see this offer again.

All sessions booked for the Free Families in February promotion must be held during the month of February.

As may be clear from my blog, I ♥ newborns!  I try my best to photograph my newborns  as early as possible to really capture the “newness” of a brand new baby. For a long while I’ve been thinking of offering birth photography as those are precious moments mom and dad obviously want to hold onto forever. One of the most important days of your lives! Hiring a photographer is an unobtrusive and tasteful way to capture those memories to have long after the fog of the delivery has past.  I’m looking for 2 pregnant moms who wish to have their baby’s birthday photographed. Thank you to everyone who sent in nominations.  I wish somehow I could work them all.  I truly took forward to meeting the winning family and sharing the images with my blog friends once they are complete.

The print gift certificates come in $50 and $100 increments and are good for desk and wall prints. They are not valid toward session fees or specialty items. I really really recommended that gift certificates being purchased for someone other than yourself be done so only for those that have already expressed interest in having portraits taken with me in the coming year. There are no refunds on gift certificates and no cash value. They will expire at the end of 2010.
