S+J Wedding | Angel Springs | austin wedding photographer | mollie kendall photography

Recently,  I was happy to shoot a wedding with my friend Susan of Robinwood Photography. Even though it rained out at Angel Springs that morning, things couldn’t have turned out any more beautiful for the ceremony.  The entire day was touching, as all the tears made it clear how much his family really loved each other. When the groom and his mother had their dance and began to cry together, it sent me over the edge and I cried along with them. These moments are what make weddings so special. And of course I love a great reception. I’m not sure I saw the bride ever leave the dance floor! I had to fall in love with this couple when they got low to ‘do the stanky leg’ dance in the last shot.

Here are a few of my shots from the day.

F + R’s wedding | austin wedding photographer | mollie kendall photography

Phew… I’m finally at a place where I can start to play some catch up over the holidays. I have quite a few weddings to blog! This first one was just awesome for me on many points. We had some amazing fall weather out at The Salt Lick Pavillion which was a nice break from an entire summer of 105 degree weddings! There were beautiful, bright details everywhere you looked. The couple was so obviously in love, they were sweet to watch together. We enjoyed some fantastic country music too … which you will rarely ever hear me say! But they played some great ooold old school country covers that I loved! I also got to work with the fabulous Mary Sledd of Sledd Photography, someone who’s work I’ve admired for years. All the way around it was a great wedding!

a + b wedding | austin wedding photographer | mollie kendall photography

I am excited to be sharing this wedding with you! Choosing images to put on this blog is always a challenge. I really struggled with this one trying to narrow it down to an acceptable sized blog post. I loved the bright colors and the many many details that the bride and groom choose for their day. A lot of things were handmade by them and family members making the day even more special. Hacienda Del Lago provided a stunning view overlooking the hill country.

Thanks to my friend Bill from Alewine Photography for having me along!

Hali + Phill | austin wedding photographer | mollie kendall photography

Hali and Phill were married in New Braunfels at the beautiful Gardens of Cranesbury View. You know a couple is perfect for each other when the groom’s vows begin with “You are my fire. My one desire. Believe when I say…” and it sends the bride into a fit of laughter. When it continues on with “You will always be my raw carrots. I will always be your frozen peas. I will always be there to take care of any dinosaur lizards or porch frogs. I will always do my best to make sure that I am more hefty hefty hefty than stinky stinky stinky.”.. you know you are watching two people that are not only in love… but best friends. They have so much fun and laughter in their relationship. It was clear to me that they will have a great time together, forever.

Super big thanks to my guest photographers, Matt and Liz!

The next two shots are the very reason I always insist on a second shooter with all of my packages.
How else would we have these two awesome images, from completely different perspectives, at EXACTLY the same moment??
Thanks so much to Matt for capturing the side view close up!

Another big thanks to my other photographer, Liz, for rockin’ out the photobooth!
