With a series of mini-sessions on my plate, there was no better way to start than with these two cuties. Typically when you attempt to get two little boys to cooperate with mom/dad, me/my camera and each other, all at the same time, problems arise. Not these little guys! They were just so sweet with each other. Sweet M took great care to take care of baby brother and helped get him to smile and adorable little L grinned right on cue, every time. I had a good time with the whole family! Here is a bitty peek into some of their images. Enjoy!

Yes, I’m aware I’ve been missing… It hasn’t been out of laziness, I assure you. Quite the opposite actually. I have had many sessions that I can’t wait to share. But for now, I’d like to show you the newest Holiday cards I now offer. A couple of my mini-session clients asked for a less tradition design so… voilà!

Are you expecting a baby, due in 2009? All newborn sessions booked for the remainder of 2008 will receive 50% off their session fee! Please contact me to book your session near your 2009 due date. I am looking forward to meeting new Texas babies!

Many people aren’t familiar with what a modern newborn shoot is like so I wanted to take a moment to give clients a better idea. It is now more popular than ever to do a photoshoot of your newborn when your baby is only a week or so old. My ideal age for a newborn is between 5-14 days of life, before the newborn acne begins. Sleeping newborn photos are the modern way to do a newborn’s shoot and so in order to have sleepy babies, babies should be photographed as young as possible. I ask that anyone looking for a newborn shoot contacts me before your baby is born so we can pick a tentative date about a week after your due date. Although I always try to get some photos of your baby awake, it’s the nude, sleeping photos that capture the essence of the first days of life the most. Bliss, bliss I tell you! I had SO much fun with my last session, shooting AND editing, that you may just find me stalking OB offices for expecting mommies from now on. Newborns…. sigh! He was a preemie, very sleepy and had more hair than my kids did at age 2. Simply adorable! The entire process was such a pleasure and this babe couldn’t have been any sweeter.

It seems that my previous feelings of not being a big studio portrait fan, is changing! No, I am not going to start doing business headshots or begin to buy country side scenic backdrops… but this baby’s first birthday cake smash thing is seriously SERIOUSLY growing on me!!

How adorable cake smash session number two was! Sweet little blue eyed, blonde haired, tanned baby Kamy. Just cute as a button. She was so full of spunk…{wink}…standing on her cake that way! I love that my job involves so much laughter! Couldn’t be luckier if I tried! Thanks Kamy and Mommy for a great session!

Let’s talk about good times for a minute shall we? Do you remember my casting call a while back for a cake smash session? I received my three guinea pigs …err… clients, within mere hours and yesterday I had my first one!

This. Session. Was. A. Blast!

Not only was the birthday boy adorable, but he flashed the best expression after priceless expression the whole time! Now I can’t be sure about this… But I’m *thinking* that this was the one and only day in this little guy’s life, where Mommy was encouraging him to eat cake at ten in the morning! I’m just guessing… Course we didn’t get any arguing out of him!

I recently filled a client order for a storyboard standout. I couldn’t wait for it to arrive as I had only seen pictures of them. Let me tell you that I just loved it! A storyboard standout is your print on a thick, yet lightweight board, finished with a black plastic edge. They have hanging holes on backside meaning no framing!! Does it get easier than that??

I need to order one of my own kiddos now.
